Victory for AKhil (Krantikari) in TU Tansen Campus Student Union Election
His closest competitor, Krishna Aryal of the Nepal Student Union (NSU), received 342 votes, as confirmed by Election Officer Jivan Bahadur Thapa.

KATHMANDU: Before the establishment of Tribhuvan University, Palpa’s Tribhuvan Multiple Campus in Tansen witnessed a significant victory as ANNIFSU (Krantikari)’s candidate emerged victorious in the Free Student Union (FSU) election.
The election was held on Wednesday, and the counting of votes revealed that Milan Ghartimagar of ANNIFSU (Krantikari) had won the position of President. He secured 390 votes out of a total of 1,228 votes cast.
His closest competitor, Krishna Aryal of the Nepal Student Union (NSU), received 342 votes, as confirmed by Election Officer Jivan Bahadur Thapa.
In the position of Secretary, Sushil Basyal of NSU was elected with 517 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Bipin Pangeni of Akhil Krantikari, who received 332 votes.
For the position of Treasurer, Missma Rana of NSU garnered 416 votes, while her opponent, Gangadevi Bahrahgare, secured 345 votes.
The following candidates were elected as members:
- Ashika Biskarma (NSU) – 390 votes
- Jyoti Darlami (NSU) – 426 votes
- Toran Raskoti (NSU) – 387 votes
- Navin Thapa (NSU) – 398 votes
- Babita Thapa (NSU) – 405 votes
- Sujal Bhattarai (NSU) – 452 votes
- Ichha Thapa ANNIFSU (Krantikari) – 360 votes
A total of 1,228 votes were cast in the student election, with 1,894 eligible voters in the campus.
Meanwhile, at the Sahid Multiple Campus in Rampur Municipality, the vote counting was temporarily halted due to a dispute.
Out of 713 registered voters, 571 votes were cast, but 97 votes remained uncounted, leading to tensions that prompted the police to resort to aerial firing.
