Minister Aruz Rana Deuba holds talks with Georgian, Philippine Foreign Ministers
The meetings took place during the Raisina Dialogue event organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba held separate bilateral meetings today in New Delhi with Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique A. Manalo.
The meetings took place during the Raisina Dialogue event organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
During the discussions, the ministers exchanged views on various topics of mutual interest and bilateral concerns.
Foreign Minister Rana urged Minister Panjikidze for Georgia’s support in Nepal’s bid for a seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2029 term, as well as other related positions.
Additionally, they explored potential areas for joint investment and partnership between Nepal and Georgia, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, hydropower, infrastructure development, and tourism.
Minister Rana also informed Minister Panjikidze about the unprecedented challenges Nepal is facing due to climate change and emphasized the need for Georgia’s support in raising the issue of climate justice on international platforms.
In her meeting with Foreign Minister Manalo of the Philippines, Minister Rana highlighted the shared challenges both countries face due to climate change and discussed the possibility of collaborating to mitigate its impacts.
The discussions also covered enhancing bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and collective efforts between Nepal and the Philippines.
These meetings underscore Nepal’s growing diplomatic engagement and its efforts to strengthen international support in addressing global issues such as climate change.
