NSU leads FSU elections with 99 wins; ANNFSU 86 (list inside)

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Student Union (NSU) has won the chairperson position in 99 campuses so far in the ongoing Free Student Union (FSU) elections.

According to the initial results, the CPN (UML)-aligned All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) has secured victories in 86 campuses.

Voting has already been completed across various campuses of universities nationwide, and the vote counting process is currently in full swing.

Intense competition continues among major student organizations.

Other student organizations affiliated with different political parties are also competing in several campuses.

The Maoist Centre-aligned All Nepal Revolutionary Students Union (Akhil Krantikari), the Janamat Party-affiliated student organization, and independent candidates have also secured wins in some campuses.

Although the NSU is currently leading in the preliminary results, the final outcome remains uncertain, as the remaining vote counts could influence the overall results.
