ANNFSU wins in three Baitadi campuses, NSU claims two
The election at Roulakedar Multi-purpose Campus could not take place, while the election at Purchaudi Multi-purpose Campus is scheduled for Wednesday.

KATHMANDU: In the recent student union elections in Baitadi, the All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) emerged victorious in three campuses, while the Nepal Student Union (NSU) triumphed in two campuses.
The election at Roulakedar Multi-purpose Campus could not take place, while the election at Purchaudi Multi-purpose Campus is scheduled for Wednesday.
However, the election at Sigas Education Campus has been postponed due to disputes.
Out of the five completed elections, ANNFSU secured victories in three, while NSU claimed wins in two.
At Pancheswar’s Navprabhat Joint Campus in Kulau, a consensus among student organizations led to the selection of ANNFSU’s Sapna Chand as president.
In Dogdakedar Rural Municipality’s Shri Kot Multi-purpose Campus, ANNFSU’s Naveen Kapadi was elected as the student union president in a joint panel with NSU.
Kapadi secured 100 votes, while his sole competitor, Surendra Karki from the Akhil Krantikari (Revolutionary Students’ Front), received 55 votes.
The rest of the committee members were also elected from Kapadi’s panel.
In Shivnath Rural Municipality’s Gram Prakash Multi-purpose Campus, the NSU panel won, with Kavita Saud being elected as president. Kavita received 37 votes, defeating ANNFSU’s Sarita Saud, who garnered 28 votes. There were 66 votes cast in this campus, out of a total of 95 eligible voters.
In another victory for NSU, Krishna Singh Rawal won at Setigau Multi-purpose Campus in Gokuleshwar, Dolasaini Rural Municipality-6, securing 103 votes, while his opponent from ANNFSU, Ramesh Malla, obtained 89 votes.
Except for one member from ANNFSU, all the other positions were secured by the joint panel.
Finally, at Shahi Lek Education Campus in Dasharathchand Municipality, ANNFSU’s Akbar Chand was elected unopposed as president.
No candidates from other student organizations contested in this campus.
The results reflect significant victories for both major student organizations, with ANNFSU leading in three campuses and NSU winning in two.
