ANNFSU wins Pokhara Nursing Campus with Pratibha Bhandari elected Chair
Pratibha Bhandari was elected as chair, defeating Rachana Paudel from the Nepal Student Union (NSU) by 140 votes.

KATHMANDU: The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) panel emerged victorious in the Pokhara Nursing Campus’ Student Union (FSU) election.
According to the final vote count, Pratibha Bhandari was elected as chair, defeating Rachana Paudel from the Nepal Student Union (NSU) by 140 votes.
As confirmed by Sharda Sharma, election officer and associate professor, Bhandari secured 242 votes, while Paudel received 102 votes.
In the secretary position, Salina Shrestha of ANNFSU triumphed over Shweta Koirala of NSU, garnering 268 votes to Koirala’s 74.
Kusum Gautam of ANNFSU was elected as the treasurer, receiving 254 votes, while NSU’s Sushma Baral secured 90 votes, leaving a margin of 164 votes between the two.
For the member positions, ANNFSU’s Dipa Acharya received 262 votes, Komal Rawal Chhetri 258 votes, Ajita Gharti Magar 256 votes, Himani Tharu 261 votes, and Sachina Somai 258 votes.
Meanwhile, NSU’s Saraswati Khanal received 79 votes, Martina Thapa Magar 84 votes, Kiran Sen 85 votes, Kriti Sigdel 81 votes, and Smita Gautam 82 votes.
In the proportional representation category, ANNFSU garnered 270 votes, while NSU received 75 votes.
The distribution of seats between the two organizations will be finalized on Wednesday afternoon, according to the election officer.
Out of 352 eligible voters in the campus, 347 participated in the election held on Tuesday.
