Regmi of ANNFSU wins in Makwanpur’s largest campus

KATHMANDU: In the elections held for the Student Union (SWVYU) at Makwanpur’s largest campus, Makwanpur Multiple Campus, Regmi from ANNFSU (All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union) emerged victorious.

Regmi secured 706 votes, surpassing his competitor Chhoyisang Lama from ANNFSU (Revolutionary), who garnered 507 votes.

Lama, a former president of the union, was defeated in this election.

In the post of Secretary, Utsav Dhungana from Nepal Student Union (NSU) triumphed with 711 votes, defeating his closest rival Dipesh Karki from All Nepal Revolutionary Students’ Union (Akhil Krantikari), who received 544 votes.

For the position of Treasurer, Nirdosh Luitel from ANNFSU won with 704 votes, while his competitor Aman Rai from the Rastriya Prajatantra Students’ Union (RPSU) earned 544 votes.

The members elected as part of the alliance include Manoj Ghalan, Umesh Chaudhary, Divash Chapagai, Sazir Ansari, Krishan Thing, Mandip Thapa, Bibash Aryal, and Atit Adhikari.

This victory marks a significant achievement for the ANNFSU panel in the highly contested elections at one of Makwanpur’s leading academic institutions.
