KATHMANDU: In a decisive victory, the Akhil Krantikari student faction has emerged triumphant in the recent student union elections at Gorkha Campus, defeating candidates backed by the ruling party.

Subal Amgai Elected President
Subal Amgai of Akhil Krantikari was elected as the president, defeating Rachana Pariyar from the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) by a margin of 48 votes. Amgai garnered 209 votes, while Pariyar secured 161 votes.
Rupesh Biskarma Wins Secretary Position
Rupesh Biskarma from Akhil Krantikari clinched the secretary position with 199 votes, defeating Aeneraswviu’s Rajaram Bohora by 28 votes. Bohora received 171 votes.
Ayusha Aryal Triumphs as Treasurer
In the treasurer race, Ayusha Aryal of Akhil Krantikari emerged victorious with 206 votes, defeating Sabina Gurung of NSU by a margin of 42 votes. Gurung earned 164 votes.
Successful Candidates for Member Positions
Akhil Krantikari candidates Abhishek Rana, Salina Bayalkoti, Rozina Gurung, Salina Pariyar, and Sabina Thapa were also elected as members of the student union.
Meanwhile, in a parallel election at Dravyashah Multiple Campus in Gorkha, the NSU-Akhil panel secured a victory, marking another milestone for the student organizations.
