Nepal & Moldova strengthen ties in meeting between Foreign Ministers
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue event organized by India's Ministry of External Affairs.

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba met with Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mihai Popsoi, on Tuesday in New Delhi.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue event organized by India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
During the meeting, discussions centered on strengthening Nepal-Moldova relations and mutual interests. Minister Dr. Rana highlighted the severe impact of climate change on Nepal and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to address this global issue.
Additionally, Dr. Rana shared information about Nepal’s preparations for upgrading to a developing nation status post-2026, including the support Nepal would require during this transition.
The Foreign Minister also discussed Nepal’s candidacy for a seat on the United Nations Security Council and requested Moldova’s support in this regard.
Dr. Rana expressed hope that the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi to Nepal would further enhance the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
