NEPSE index sees decline for third consecutive day
Today, the Nepse index fell by 7.66 points, closing at 2,297.04 points.

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has experienced a decline for the third consecutive day of trading this week. The index had also fallen continuously last week, only to increase slightly on the final trading day.
However, this week, the index has continued to drop every day.
Today, the Nepse index fell by 7.66 points, closing at 2,297.04 points. A total of 313 companies traded 8.2 million shares across 50,834 transactions, amounting to a total trading value of Rs 4.34 billion (434.66 million).
In today’s trading, the sub-index of the “Other” group increased by 0.11%, while all other group sub-indices saw a decrease. The Banking group fell by 0.14%, the Development Banks group by 0.42%, the Finance group by 0.17%, the Hotel and Tourism group by 0.36%, the Hydropower group by 0.17%, the Investment group by 0.42%, and the Life Insurance group by 0.70%.
Similarly, the Production and Processing group dropped by 0.23%, the Microfinance group by 0.31%, the Mutual Fund group by 0.37%, the Non-Life Insurance group by 0.54%, and the Trading group by 0.66%.
Among the individual stock performances today, the share price of Mithila Microfinance Financial Institution Ltd. saw the highest increase of 9.96%, while Community Microfinance Financial Institution Ltd. experienced the greatest drop, with a decrease of 8.21%.
In terms of transaction value, Himalayan Reinsurance Ltd. led the market with a total of Rs 321.1 million worth of shares being traded.
Regarding the number of shares traded, Ghalemdi Hydropower Ltd. had the highest turnover, with 768,543 shares changing hands.
