KATHMANDU: The official second poster for the upcoming Nepali movie Khel has been unveiled ahead of its release on Baishakh 12 (April 25).

The poster features the lead actors, including Surakshya Panta, Monica Thapa, Hena Nagarakoti, Nikita Acharya, Samapika Gautam, Mithila Sharma, Sarita Giri, and Bholaraj Sapkota.

Designed by Royal Bhimsen, the poster uses a deep blue and black color scheme, evoking a sense of mystery and fear. In the foreground, school students are depicted, with ominous eye shadows in the background that hint at a suspenseful atmosphere.

The moon, a significant element in the plot, also makes an appearance, further emphasizing the film’s enigmatic storyline.

Surakshya Panta, wearing headphones, is highlighted in the poster as the central character of the film. The title Khel is presented in a unique and stylized font, adding to the overall suspenseful theme.

Directed by Anurag Pradhan and Aastha Shrestha, Khel blends elements of Nepali folklore, tradition, spirituality, thriller, and suspense.

The film narrates the story of four friends staying in a hostel in Kathmandu, whose dark pasts haunt them as they uncover terrifying events.

The cast also includes Kiran Shrestha, Bhawana Ghimire, and Suhani Khadka among others.

Produced under the banner of Sirupate Cuts Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Luis Raj Maherjan and Ashish Raj Maherjan, with co-producers Kunan Raj Gurung and Rahish Raj Maherjan.

 

The script was written by Ashish Raj Maherjan, with screenplay by Abhitendra and Anurag Pradhan. The dialogue was penned by Vishnu Gaire.

The cinematography of Khel is handled by Roshan Rai and Sanjay Lama, with editing by Ashish Raj Maherjan. The sound design is done by Bikash Pradhan, color grading by Rajendra Moktan, production design by Kishor Nepal, costume design by Alex Basukala, and makeup by Dipu Poudel. The production manager for the film is Yamprasad Oli. The distribution rights will be handled by DCN, and the publicity design is managed by Trident Concepts.

Khel promises to deliver a gripping blend of horror and mystery, making it one of the most anticipated Nepali films of the year.
