Body of missing worker found after falling into Karnali River
The incident occurred on the Karnali Corridor's Ghatchaur-Laifu road.

KATHMANDU: A missing worker’s body was found on Tuesday after falling into the Karnali River while crossing it in a makeshift boat made of diesel drums.
The incident occurred on the Karnali Corridor’s Ghatchaur-Laifu road.
The worker, 23-year-old Devnath Sejuwal from Mugu Rara Chayanath Municipality-10, had been missing since Monday morning after falling into the river while traveling to his work site.
Sejuwal had been working as a laborer on the Karnali Corridor project for the past 10 months.
The search for Sejuwal, involving both local residents and police, ended with the discovery of his body, which was handed over to his family. The information was confirmed by the acting police chief of Kalikot, Kishor KC.
The Karnali Corridor project is being constructed by the Nepal Army and involves blasting rocks for the road between Ghatpari Chaur in Kalikot Palata-9 and Laifu in Bajura.
Currently, the road takes a winding path through Nanikot’s Bolu village to Ghatpari Chaur, although the project aims to reduce the route by 10 kilometers once completed.
