KATHMANDU: The Turkish Ministry of Health has confirmed that at least 59 people have tragically lost their lives in a devastating nightclub fire in the town of Kocani, North Macedonia.

Among the injured, nine individuals have been transferred to Turkey for specialized medical treatment.

Three of the severely wounded victims were taken to the Burn Unit at Istanbul’s Basaksehir Cam and Sakura City Hospital, while the remaining six were sent to Ankara’s Bilkent City Hospital for care.

Memisoglu, a Turkish health official, reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting the Balkans in times of crisis, stating that additional patients could be relocated to Turkey for treatment if necessary.
