Four injured in accident involving Indian vehicle in Makwanpur

KATHMANDU: A jeep with an Indian number plate was involved in a tragic accident early Monday morning in Sisneri, Makwanpur, leaving four people injured. The vehicle, which was carrying 17 passengers, was traveling from Kathmandu towards Uttar Pradesh, India.
The incident took place in the Dharkholsa area of Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-3, along a sharp bend.
The vehicle, registered under the Indian number plate UP 70 NT 6917, reportedly lost control due to a brake failure while navigating the bend.
Following the accident, a team from the Sissneri Area Police Office arrived at the scene to assist in the rescue efforts.
The injured were promptly transported towards Hetaunda for medical treatment, with support from the police and local residents.
According to Shyam Aryal, the Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Makwanpur District Police Office, the condition of the injured individuals is stable, though their injuries are considered moderate.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
