KATHMANDU: More than 7,000 students from Makawanpur will participate in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) starting from Chait 7 (March 20).

A total of 7,456 students will be taking the exam, including both regular and technical students.

Among them, 1,495 are from the general stream and 96 from the technical stream, aiming for grade enhancement.

According to Subid Giri, the head of the Education Coordination Unit in Makawanpur, 28 exam centers have been set up this year, an increase from the 26 centers in the previous year.

The new exam centers are located at Kalika Secondary School in Namtaar, Kailash Rural Municipality, and Shramik Secondary School in Hetauda.

With the addition of these centers, every local level in Makawanpur will now have an exam center.

Giri mentioned that the Shramik Secondary School in Hetaunda has been designated exclusively for technical students.

To ensure smooth operations, training has been provided to all center heads, and a total of 28 center heads, 51 assistant center heads, 374 supervisors, 76 exam assistants, 150 office assistants, and 420 security personnel have been deployed for the exam.

Giri further confirmed that question papers and answer sheets have already reached all remote municipalities, and arrangements are being made to deliver them to nearby centers within the next one or two days.
