Russia fire kills 5

VLADIVOSTOK: Five people died and three others were injured in a fire at an office building in Blagoveshchensk, a city in Russia’s Far East, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) said Thursday.

“Firefighters from EMERCOM rescued 10 people, of whom three were injured. Unfortunately, five people died,” EMERCOM said on Telegram.

It added that the fire, which covered an area of 180 square meters, has been put out.
