Bill to amend certain cooperative-related laws presented in Parliament

KATHMANDU: The bill to amend certain cooperative-related laws in Nepal (Cooperative Amendment Bill, 2081) was presented in the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

The bill was introduced by Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari.

Earlier, lawmakers had raised objections to the proposal seeking permission to present the bill.

However, the objections were rejected when put to a vote.

This bill replaces the ordinance previously introduced by the government, aimed at amending cooperative-related laws in Nepal.
