Privatization (First Amendment Bill) 2081 presented in HoR

KATHMANDU: The “Privatization (First Amendment Bill) 2081” has been presented in the House of Representatives.

During Wednesday’s session, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel tabled the bill in the House.

Earlier, lawmakers had submitted a notice of objection against the proposal seeking permission to present the bill.

However, when put to a vote, the objection was rejected by a majority.

The government had previously introduced the “Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance 2081.”

The bill now tabled in Parliament serves as a replacement for that ordinance.
