Financial Procedures & Fiscal Responsibility Bill tabled in parliament

KATHMANDU: The Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill 2081 has been tabled in the House of Representatives.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel presented the bill in Wednesday’s parliamentary session.

Earlier, lawmakers had submitted objections against the proposal to introduce the bill.

However, the objections were rejected by a majority vote.

The government had previously introduced the Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility Ordinance, which has now been replaced by this bill in Parliament.
