Namibia sets strong 126-run target for Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently playing against Namibia in its fourth match of the Women’s Day Cup T20I tournament in Uganda.

In the ongoing match in Entebbe, Nepal has been set a challenging target.

After losing the toss, Namibia batted first and posted 125/8 in 20 overs— the highest total of the tournament so far.

Yasmeen Khan led the charge for Namibia with 45 runs, while Wilka Matile scored 20, and Arasta Diergaardt remained unbeaten on 16.

For Nepal, Ishwari Bist took 3 wickets for 34 runs in her 4-over spell.

Rachana Kumari Chaudhary delivered an impressive performance, claiming 2 wickets while conceding only 9 runs in 4 overs.

Riya Sharma and captain Indu Barma picked up one wicket each.

Nepal lost its opening match against Namibia but bounced back with a victory over Uganda.

However, they suffered a defeat against Hong Kong in the third match.
