Bayern Munich reaches Champions League quarterfinals

KATHMANDU: Bayern Munich has secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after defeating Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 on Tuesday.

With a dominant 5-0 aggregate victory, Bayern cruised into the last eight of the competition.

Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies found the net to seal Bayern’s triumph. Kane opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, marking his 10th goal in this season’s Champions League.

With this feat, Kane became the first English player to reach double-digit goals in a single UCL campaign.

The England captain later assisted Davies’ goal in the 71st minute, capping off a commanding performance for the German giants.
