Woman killed, 2 injured as truck hits motorcycle in Makawanpur
The motorcycle was heading toward Manahari from Chitwan.

KATHMANDU: A woman lost her life, and two others were injured after a truck rammed into a motorcycle at Ramanatar, Manahari Rural Municipality-7, along the East-West Highway.
According to police, the accident occurred when a mixer truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Ka 0827) traveling in the same direction hit a motorcycle (Ga 11 Pa 9628) from behind.
The motorcycle was heading toward Manahari from Chitwan.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Sarita Devi Chaudhary from Kolhabi Municipality-5, Bara.
She succumbed to her injuries while being rushed to Hetauda Hospital, said DSP Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson for Makawanpur District Police Office.
Sarita’s husband, 35-year-old Shivakumar Chaudhary, who was riding the motorcycle, and their 5-year-old nephew Anshkumar Chaudhary sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
The police have taken the truck driver, 49-year-old Dhan Bahadur Sunar of Jyamire, Manahari-9, into custody for further investigation.
