KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) MP Rajendra Pandey commented that corruption has become institutionalized in the country, leading to the resurgence of monarchists.

Speaking in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Pandey accused the current government of failing to bring any novelty, which he claimed has allowed reactionary forces to become active.

He criticized the government for its complete failure to take action against corrupt officials.

Pandey alleged that the government, in its administration, was biased, pointing to the case of Ravi Lamichhane being allowed to tour districts.

He also noted that no action had been taken against Congress vice president and UML MPs involved in similar issues.

Pandey remarked that the current government seems to be implementing one law for the ruling party and another for the opposition.
