KATHMANDU: Embracing the mantra “Become literate, become capable,” Muktinath Development Bank organized an extensive financial literacy program this Magh month, under its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The program reached various communities across all seven provinces, specifically targeting farmers, entrepreneurs, women, and youth.

The program covered a wide range of topics including business planning, market possibilities, marketing strategies, personal and family budgeting, income-expense balance, cash flow management, savings and credit management, insurance, remittances, digital banking services, and preventing financial fraud through digital platforms.

Participants expressed that such programs help eliminate doubts and make it easier to manage future risks effectively.

The bank has been conducting similar programs in the past and plans to continue them in the future, believing that such initiatives will change the public’s negative perceptions towards financial institutions.

The bank sees positive outcomes from spreading accurate information to the community, furthering its impact.
