KATHMANDU: The 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Himalayan Everest Insurance Company Limited was successfully held under the chairmanship of Mahendra Krishna Shrestha, the Chairman of the company.

The event took place at Anmol Banquet, Shankhamul, Kathmandu.

For the purpose of the AGM and dividend distribution, the company closed its shareholder registration on 15th Falgun, 2081 (Nepali calendar).

Shareholders registered by 14th Falgun, 2081, are eligible to participate in the AGM and receive the dividends.

The AGM approved the annual report for the fiscal year 080/81, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow details, and equity changes.

A cash dividend of Rs 21,87,63,773, calculated at a rate of 8.75% of the paid-up capital, was also declared.

Additionally, the AGM approved the appointment of the external auditor and their remuneration for the fiscal year 081/82, as recommended by the audit committee.

Addressing the AGM, Chair Mahendra Krishna Shrestha expressed confidence that the company could achieve sustainable long-term profits by utilizing investments in technology and talent.

He emphasized that with the trust and cooperation of all stakeholders, the company aims to become a leader in the life insurance sector.

Anju Shrestha, the CEO of Himalayan Everest Insurance, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the company’s efforts to adopt the latest technologies in providing life insurance services.

She expressed her commitment to making the company a prestigious institution both nationally and internationally.

During the meeting, shareholders including Jagannath Acharya, Uttamdatta Pandey, and Sudip Shrestha shared their views.

Many shareholders expressed their satisfaction with the declared cash dividend of 8.75%.

The AGM saw a significant presence of board members and shareholders, marking the successful conclusion of the event.
