Former PM Baburam Bhattarai’s Official Facebook Page Hacked

KATHMANDU: The official Facebook page of former Prime Minister and Chair of the Nepal Socialist Party (NSP), Baburam Bhattarai, was hacked on Tuesday.

The page, named “Dr. Baburam Bhattarai,” has around 1.5 million followers.

According to Bhattarai’s private secretariat, the page has now been recovered. Amit Khanal, who oversees the IT and media department of the secretariat, stated that the hacker had made unauthorized comments on old posts.

The team is currently working to remove those comments.

Additionally, Khanal informed that Bhattarai’s official website, baburambhattarai.com, will be renewed and brought back into operation, as it had been inactive for a long time.
