Tamang National Liberation Front warns govt. against undermining NEA Chief Ghising
The Front criticized the repeated questioning of his performance, calling it absurd for ministers to seek clarification on his work.

KATHMANDU: The Tamang National Liberation Front, Nepal, has raised concerns about any decision that could undermine the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulman Ghising.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Front cautioned the government against taking any action that could belittle Ghising’s role, warning that if such a decision is made, the Front will launch a decisive protest.
The statement highlighted that, despite NEA’s substantial losses in the past, Ghising has managed to bring the organization to a profit of over Rs 12 billion in the last six months.
The Front criticized the repeated questioning of his performance, calling it absurd for ministers to seek clarification on his work.
The Front also urged the government to refrain from any decisions that could devalue Ghising’s contributions, warning of street protests if retaliatory actions, including removal or disciplinary procedures, are taken against him.
Accusing Energy Minister Deepak Khadka of attempting to take revenge on Ghising for his refusal to comply with demands for corruption and commission kickbacks, the Front condemned such practices.
Dilli Man Tamang, the Front’s president, made it clear that any retaliatory action against Ghising would result in a major street movement.
