Man fell into drain rescued

KATHMANDU: A man who fell into a drain in Teku, Kathmandu, was successfully rescued by the police on Sunday morning around 6:45 AM.

The individual, identified as Ramsharan Dhungana from Sangachok Gadhi-10, Sindhupalchowk, was rescued within 20 minutes of the incident, according to DSP Rupesh Khadka of Kalimati Police Station.

A team from the Police Disaster Management Department, based in Samakhushi, was also mobilized for the rescue operation.

Dhungana has been sent to the National Trauma Center for medical treatment.

Authorities confirmed that Dhungana is currently facing mental health challenges.
