KATHMANDU: Nepal has climbed 4 places in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings, now sitting at 99th position, up from 103rd.

In their recent performances, Nepal participated in the Four Nations International Women’s Championship in February, where they played four matches.

Nepal drew 2-2 with Myanmar and defeated Lebanon and Kyrgyzstan 1-0 each, though they lost 2-0 to Myanmar in the final.

Myanmar, the champions of the tournament, hold steady at 55th. India remains the top South Asian team at 69th, while Bhutan improves to 171st.

The top four in the global rankings remain unchanged, with the United States leading, followed by Spain, Germany, and England.

Japan moves into the top five, with Sweden, Canada, and Brazil dropping to 6th, 7th, and 8th, respectively.

North Korea and the Netherlands round out the top 10.
