Europa League: Man United held to 1-1 draw by Real Sociedad

KATHMANDU: Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Spanish side Real Sociedad in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday.

In the match played at Sociedad’s home ground, United’s Joshua Zirkzee opened the scoring in the 57th minute.

However, Mikel Oyarzabal equalized for Sociedad in the 70th minute through a penalty.

The second leg will be played at Old Trafford on March 14.
