One killed in road accident in Rupandehi

KATHMANDU: A 19-year-old youth died in a road accident in Rupandehi on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Roshan Pariyar, a resident of Gulmi’s Ruru Rural Municipality-3, currently living in Butwal.
The accident occurred near the Jansewa Club in Naya Mil when a motorcycle (Lu 56 Pa 1961) collided with a car (Ba 20 Cha 1754) that was crossing the road from the west lane of the main highway.
Pariyar was on his way to Shanti Namuna Secondary School in Manigram when the crash happened.
He sustained critical injuries and succumbed during treatment, according to DSP Suraj Karki of the District Police Office, Rupandehi.
Police have taken the car and its driver into custody for further investigation.
