NEPSE index drops by 25.16 points, continues downward trend

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 25.16 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,821.23 points.

This marks a 0.88% drop compared to the previous day.

The downward trend follows consecutive significant losses on Monday and Tuesday.

Among the traded stocks, 62 companies saw an increase in their share prices, while 174 companies experienced a decline, and 8 remained unchanged.

A total of 101,603 transactions were recorded, with 23.34 million shares traded.

The total turnover stood at approximately Rs 10.97 billion, reflecting a decrease from Tuesday’s trading volume.

Out of the 13 sub-indices, all except the trading sector witnessed a decline, contributing to the overall market downturn.
