BYD extends warranty on EV models, enhances customer benefits in Nepal

KATHMANDU: As the popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) continues to rise in Nepal, BYD has decided to offer additional benefits to its customers.

The company’s official distributor, Cimex Inc., has announced an extension of the warranty period for all BYD EV models.

This new offer was introduced during the ‘BYD High-Tech Week 2025’ event, which took place in Kathmandu until March 2.

Previously, BYD provided a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 kilometers (whichever came first), but this has now been extended to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers.

This upgrade applies specifically to BYD’s popular models such as the Atto 3, Dolphin, and M6.

Additionally, BYD has recently unveiled new, cutting-edge models, including the Yabawa U8, Denge Z9GT, and BYD Shark 6.

These vehicles are known for their modern technology, high safety standards, and exceptional performance.

BYD’s Blade Battery technology has made their vehicles even safer.

Renowned for its high charging capacity, this battery has successfully passed the Nail Penetration Test, ensuring greater safety for users.

The BYD High-Tech Week, which ran until March 2, provided customers with a chance to learn about the latest offers and technological advancements from BYD.

It also allowed them to experience the new models firsthand.
