Keki & Miruna cast in lead roles for ‘Janai Harayeako Bahun’

KATHMANDU: The upcoming Nepali film Janai Harayeako Bahun is bolstering its star-studded lineup as it gears up for release. Having already secured a release date, the production team continues to unveil its cast.

Renowned actresses Keki Adhikari and Miruna Magar have been confirmed as the film’s lead heroines.

They join previously announced actors Bijay Baral, Gaurav Pahari, and Rear Rai. While Bijay Baral plays a pivotal role, the makers have yet to disclose which actress will be paired with him as the lead.

The film’s thematic motion poster was unveiled earlier, hinting at an emotional storyline centered on a mother-son relationship.

It portrays a son’s struggles and sacrifices for his mother’s happiness.

Marking his directorial debut, Himal Nyaupane helms the project, with Prem Geet 3 actor Manish Raut serving as the associate director.

The screenplay, story, and dialogues have been penned by Bhanubhakta Dhakal.

Produced by Paperclip Pvt. Ltd., Janai Harayeako Bahun narrates the journey of a simple man transitioning from a rural village to the city, facing unforeseen challenges that reshape his life.

The film boasts a strong technical team, including cinematographer Navin Gurung, creative director Samrat Maharjan (Jack), and VFX supervisor Mayank Nirola.

Slated to begin filming later this year, the movie is set for a grand release on Bhadra 10 (Haritalika Teej).

It will premiere simultaneously in Nepal and international markets.
