KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), has revised the schedule of its ‘Maoist Awakening Campaign in Madhesh.’

The campaign, which started from Jhapa in the east, was temporarily halted in Mahottari for three days.

Following the pause, party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and other leaders returned to Kathmandu for an office-bearers’ meeting.

According to spokesperson Agni Sapkota, the meeting on Wednesday morning will review the ordinance set to be presented in Parliament, the opposition’s strategy, and the campaign focused on the Postal Highway.

The campaign will resume from Mahottari on Thursday. As per the revised schedule, it will be held in Mahottari on March 6, Sarlahi on March 7, Rautahat on March 8, Bara on March 9, and Parsa on March 10.

The campaign will then continue in Chitwan, Butwal, Nawalpur, Nawalparasi East, Parasi, Nawalparasi West, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali, and Kanchanpur.

The campaign is set to conclude on March 25.
