Foreign Minister Rana visits Lumbini

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba visited Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, on Tuesday.

She was welcomed by Dr. Lharkyal Lama (Khenpo Chime), Vice-Chair of the Lumbini Development Trust.

During the visit, Minister Rana paid her respects at the Maya Devi Temple, received information about the Ashoka Pillar, and learned about the Pushpakarini Pond.

Dr. Lama briefed her on the ongoing projects and developments undertaken by the Lumbini Development Trust. Lumbini Province’s Minister for Urban Development, Saroj Thapa, also participated in the visit.

The visit was attended by Lumbini Development Trust’s Secretary Sanuraja Shakya, Executive Members Shyam Rokka, Rajesh Shakya, and others.
