LPG gas price increases by Rs. 12.75 per cylinder

KATHMANDU: The price of cooking LPG gas has increased by Rs. 12.75 per cylinder.
In a meeting between officials from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies and the Nepal LPG Industry Association on Tuesday, it was revealed that the Nepal Oil Corporation’s board of directors had made a decision regarding gas freight adjustment two days ago.
Although there is an agreement to increase the gas price by Rs. 12.75 per cylinder for internal distribution, the Nepal Oil Corporation stated that the price will not increase for consumers.
With a five-point agreement between government representatives, including Commerce and Supplies Secretary Govinda Bahadur Karki, and businesspeople, all protest programs organized by the Nepal LPG Gas Industry Association have been postponed.
