Fake academic certificate case: Charges filed against Jiten Chaudhary

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against Jiten Chaudhary, also known as Jitendra, working in the CT scan department at Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar, for allegedly using a fake academic certificate.
According to CIAA spokesperson Narahari Ghimire, Chaudhary falsely claimed to be a member of the Nepal Health Professional Council and submitted a counterfeit Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
Based on this, he secured the position of radiographer on Jan 15, 2016 (Magh 1, 2072) and received benefits from the role.
The charge sheet, filed at the Special Court, Kathmandu, on Tuesday, demands imprisonment and fines under Section 16(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
