TUTH ensures uninterrupted services amid water shortage
Following the breakdown of both wells, the hospital faced difficulties in water supply but managed to procure water through tankers.

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) has reassured that the recent water shortage has not impacted any of its services.
Kali Prasad Rosyara, the assistant information officer at the hospital, clarified that although there was a disruption in the water supply after both wells malfunctioned on Monday evening, hospital operations have remained unaffected.
Rosyara explained, “The two wells that supply water to the hospital were damaged, causing a water supply issue. However, despite rumors suggesting that hospital services were halted, we have arranged alternative water sources, and services continue smoothly.”
Previously, the hospital relied on two wells for its water needs.
Following the breakdown of both wells, the hospital faced difficulties in water supply but managed to procure water through tankers.
Rosyara further mentioned that Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) could not supply water, prompting the hospital to use its own wells.
One well is currently under repair, while the motor of the second well failed on Monday evening, further compounding the situation.
Despite these challenges, the hospital has ensured that essential services are not disrupted.
