He stated that if people perform their tasks well, the country will progress without delay.

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized that everyone should contribute to nation-building by working within their own capacities.
Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Trade Union Movement on Tuesday, he urged people to contribute to the country’s development through their respective areas of work.
He stated that if people perform their tasks well, the country will progress without delay.
Oli expressed concern over the prevailing culture of opposing and preventing those doing good work, often through false accusations.
He lamented that this trend of hindering progress was harmful to the nation’s development.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that, during his previous tenure, he had accomplished over a hundred historic tasks.
Additionally, Oli addressed the issue of education, stating that he is working personally to improve the pass percentage for students taking the SEE exams.
He revealed that currently, only 48% of students pass, and he is targeting at least 60% this time, with over 100,000 students participating in the initiative.
He also noted ongoing struggles for fair wages, mentioning complaints from nurses in some private hospitals about not receiving the minimum wage.
He warned that employing workers below the minimum wage would lead to penalties.
Prime Minister Oli further highlighted that employment opportunities could be generated through entrepreneurship and business, which he believes are key to creating sustainable jobs.
