KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak inspected Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa on Tuesday morning.

Minister Lekhak, who was in Rupandehi for a party program, visited the airport at 9 AM, according to Binod Singh Rawat, Information Officer at the Civil Aviation Office, Siddharthanagar.

During the inspection, he reviewed the immigration office, security arrangements, and overall airport management.

“We observed the condition of the immigration office, passenger movement, services, management, and cleanliness,” he said.

Expressing satisfaction over the airport’s international flights, he added, “I am very happy to see four flights operating daily and an increase in passenger flow. The government is committed to making this progress sustainable.”
