Legislative Assembly members of Puducherry in Pokhara
Speaker of Gandaki Province Assembly, Krishna Prasad Dhital, Deputy-Speaker Bina Kumari Thapa, among others welcomed the team at Province Assembly premises by offering the typical Nepali Dhaka topi and garland.

GANDAKI: A team comprising Speaker of Puducherry State of India, Embalam R. Selvum, arrived in Pokhara on Monday in course of a friendly visit and experience sharing. Gandaki Province Assembly had invited the team.
Speaker of Gandaki Province Assembly, Krishna Prasad Dhital, and Deputy Speaker Bina Kumari Thapa, among others, welcomed the team at the Province Assembly premises by offering the typical Nepali Dhaka topi and garland.
On the occasion, Speaker of Puducherry, Selvum, invited Gandaki PA members, including the Speaker for Puducherry visit.
Saying Puducherry is the tourist destination like Pokhara, he expressed the belief that such a visit would help in the tourism development of both provinces.
Similarly, Gandaki PA Speaker Dhital said the visit would be significant in the expansion of friendly relations between the two provinces.
“This visit will also enhance relations between the two countries. Nepal is always in favor of peaceful coexistence and unity in diversity,” he shared, adding, “We have believed that this visit to Pokhara would also significantly help in the tourism promotion of Pokhara.”
Likewise, Deputy Speaker Bina Kumari Thapa mentioned that it is an opportunity to know about parliamentary exercises from sharing the experiences between the two provinces.
The team was briefed about the structure, its activities, and the achievements of Gandaki PA. The team comprises Deputy Speaker P Rajvelu as well as members of the Legislative Assembly, including Tourism Minister K Laxmi Narayan.
The Indian team is scheduled to visit tourist and religious places in Pokhara, according to the Gandaki PA Secretariat.
