TU initiates FSU election process, voting set for March 18
Voting will take place on March 18 (Chaitra 5) from 8 AM to 4 PM.

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU) has officially commenced the process for the Free Students’ Union (FSU) elections, scheduled for March 18, 2025 (Chaitra 5, 2081).
According to Pashupati Adhikari, Director of TU’s Student Welfare and Sports Directorate, various student organizations have registered their names for the election across TU’s constituent and affiliated campuses. “This time, elections will be held in more campuses compared to previous years,” he stated.
As per the election schedule, the voter list will be published on March 5 (Fagun 21), while nominations for both direct and proportional candidates will be accepted on March 11 (Fagun 27) from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Voting will take place on March 18 (Chaitra 5) from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Student organizations have already begun preparations. ANNFSU Chair Samik Badal confirmed his organization’s participation in all campuses, while Nepal Student Union spokesperson Suraj Sejuwal also stated that their organization has registered across all campuses.
Similarly, ANNFSU (Revolutionary) General Secretary Roshan Magar affirmed their presence in all participating campuses nationwide.
TU has already issued the FSU Election Code of Conduct.
The elections will take place in 62 constituent campuses and 1,040 affiliated campuses across Nepal.
The election system follows a mixed electoral model, with a maximum age limit of 28 years for candidates.
