Man held for rape in Dang

KATHMANDU: Dang police have arrested 28-year-old Netra Bahadur Rokaya of Manigaun, Guthichaur Rural Municipality-1, Jumla, on charges of rape.

According to the police, Rokaya allegedly took a 21-year-old woman to a field in Govardih, Gadhawa Rural Municipality-3, and raped her on Thursday night.

Based on the victim’s complaint, a team from the Area Police Office, Gadhawa, apprehended him on Monday afternoon.

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the case.
