KATHMANDU: A Melamchi drinking water pipeline has burst once again in Thapathali, Kathmandu.
The pipeline rupture occurred near Thapathali Chowk on Tuesday morning, causing severe flooding in the area.
Following the burst, water gushed onto the streets, disrupting traffic and damaging the road. The exact cause of the pipeline failure is yet to be determined.
The incident occurred on the road leading from Thapathali Chowk to Norvic International Hospital.
Earlier, a similar incident in Babarmahal led to flooding in surrounding houses and government offices.
That rupture occurred while the Nepal Electricity Authority was carrying out maintenance work in the area.
