Barcelona reclaims La Liga top spot with 4-0 win

KATHMANDU: Barcelona has climbed back to the top of La Liga after a dominant 4-0 victory over a 10-man Real Sociedad on Sunday.
With this win, Barcelona surpassed Atlético Madrid in the standings.
After 26 matches, Barcelona leads with 57 points, Atlético follows with 56, and Real Madrid sits third with 54. Sociedad remains ninth with 34 points.
Gerard Martín, Marc Casadó, Ronald Araújo, and Robert Lewandowski were on target for Barcelona.
Martín struck in the 25th minute, followed by Casadó’s goal in the 29th, giving Barcelona a 2-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Araújo netted in the 56th minute, and Lewandowski sealed the win in the 60th.
In other matches, Osasuna and Valencia played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, while Real Mallorca and Alavés ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
