Viral singer Radhika Badi passes away

KALIKOT: Radhika Badi, a folk singer who gained fame through social media, has passed away at the age of 42.
She died on Sunday morning in Thirpu, Kalikot.
According to reports, she had been feeling unwell for a few days but passed away before receiving medical attention or a proper diagnosis.
DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat, chief of the Kalikot District Police Office, confirmed her death, stating, “Radhika had been sick for the past two days. We received news of her passing on Sunday morning.”
Radhika Badi and her husband, Jogendra Badi, were residents of Badimalika Municipality-2, Bajura.
The couple made a living by performing traditional folk songs.
Radhika’s unique talent for playing the madal and her soulful voice captivated many on social media.
One of her viral videos featured her singing “Nasha Nashama Ragata Ragatma…” while playing the madal. Her untimely demise has left the artistic community in mourning.
Even after her passing, her songs and videos continue to trend on social media. Originally from Bajhang, Radhika settled in Bajura after her second marriage to Jogendra.
