22-year-old dies after relative’s gunshot in Dogadakedar
The shooting took place on Saturday night around 8 p.m., following a dispute between the two men over financial matters.
KATHMANDU: An incident occurred in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-8, Kalagau, when 22-year-old Surendra Bista succumbed to gunshot wounds after being attacked by his own relative, 40-year-old Karnbahadur Bista.
The shooting took place on Saturday night around 8 p.m., following a dispute between the two men over financial matters.
Surendra was critically injured and was being transported to the district hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, he passed away on the way, confirmed Police Inspector Baldev Badu.
Karnbahadur, who fled the scene after the attack, is currently on the run.
Authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend him and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
A specialized police team, including Police Inspector Badu from the District Police Office, Police Inspector Rajendra Saud from the Patan Area Police Office, and Police Sub-Inspector Ganesh Kadayat from the Khochlek Police Outpost, has been deployed to the area to gather evidence and investigate the case.
