PM Oli visits Pashupatinath Temple on Mahashivaratri eve
He instructed them to ensure a safe, disciplined, dignified, and well-organized celebration, making it convenient for devotees to worship.

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited the sacred Pashupatinath Temple this evening on the eve of Mahashivaratri 2081.
During his visit, he offered prayers and attended the temple’s evening aarati.
PM Oli also reviewed the preparations for Mahashivaratri, receiving updates from officials of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).
He instructed them to ensure a safe, disciplined, dignified, and well-organized celebration, making it convenient for devotees to worship.
Accompanying him were Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, Secretary of the Ministry Binod Prakash Singh, Kathmandu’s Chief District Officer Rishiram Tiwari, and other officials.
Devotees at the temple expressed joy and excitement upon seeing the Prime Minister joining them in worship.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu District Administration Office has issued a notice banning the production, sale, transportation, storage, and consumption of meat, alcohol, and intoxicants within the Pashupatinath Temple premises from Feb 24 to 27.
