Bagmati Minister’s personal secretary found unconscious, dies during treatment

KATHMANDU: Ravi Thapa, the personal secretary to Bagmati Province’s Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Madhu Kumar Shrestha, has passed away.

According to police, Thapa, 36, was found unconscious at a friend’s residence in Kalanki and was rushed to Shahid Memorial Hospital for treatment.

However, he was pronounced dead on Monday night.

Originally from Dhunibesi Municipality-9 in Dhading, Thapa’s cause of death remains unknown.

Kathmandu Police spokesperson SP Apilraj Bohora stated that further investigations are underway.
