MP Hari Dhakal vows to continue anti-corruption campaign (video)
He stated that once his party secures a majority in Parliament, those who have amassed illicit wealth and are intoxicated by their riches will be held accountable.

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Hari Dhakal has asserted that the campaign against corruption will not be halted.
Speaking during the special session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Dhakal emphasized that stopping one individual will not put an end to the anti-corruption drive.
He stated that once his party secures a majority in Parliament, those who have amassed illicit wealth and are intoxicated by their riches will be held accountable.
Drawing parallels with history, he remarked that just as the wealth amassed during the Rana era was brought into the state treasury, the assets accumulated through corruption over the past 35 years will also be reclaimed.
“Our fight against corruption will not stop by targeting just one person. This time, we lacked the numbers, but when we achieve the required majority, we will wake up those who are lost in their ill-gotten wealth. Just as the wealth of the Ranas and the monarchy was nationalized, we will ensure that the assets looted from citizens over the past 35 years are returned to the state treasury. We will reach the numbers in 2084. Beware!” he warned.
Dhakal also accused the current government of shielding corrupt individuals.
